My English name is Azuritian.

It all started when my mother wrote "AZ" on a takeout box to stand for Alexander. Those two letters stuck with me, so I started looking for a name that included them. I came across azurite in my search, a beautiful blue crystal. Blue is my favorite color so it was a match made in heaven.

Azuritian is pronounced like martian. Just as someone from Mars is a martian, someone from azurite is an Azuritian. I quickly found out how hard this was for others to pronounce, as friends started using the nickname Azur. Because of that, I made the Japanese version, アズー, from the nickname, and it is pronounced ah-zoo.
